Razz Strategy
Razz is a fairly straight-forward and mechanical game. With some practice one can master the game easily. There is no shortage of bad Razz players. People will call you down drawing dead. You should always know who is in the visible lead. When you have three small cards showing, but two big hole cards, your illusion of strength can be your biggest help.
Like any other form of poker, aggression is rewarded - and especially so in Razz. Always jam the pot when you feel you have the best hand.
There are two very critical decisions in Razz. The first is whether or not to even play the hand. Assuming you are playing premium hands, the second decision is on 5th street when the bet size doubles. Only call a bet on 5th street if you plan on going all the way to the river. If you call a bet on 5th street and then fold on 6th street, you are making a negative EV play, which will lead to a significant loss over time.
